Hahei – Riparide
Relax in luxury at Hahei Heights with jaw-dropping, painting-worthy views that redefine your perspective on paradise. This spot is a luxurious take on the Kiwi holiday feel, offering a space designed to both entertain and unwind. Here’s why Hahei Heights is your next must-visit destination.

Accommodation
Hahei Heights provides everything you need for a perfect getaway. The attention to detail makes your stay memorable, from the stunning interiors to the spacious outdoor areas. The outdoor space is ideal for playing games like Kubb or simply relaxing in the fresh air, with a large entertaining deck area perfect for socialising or enjoying a meal outdoors. We particularly loved unwinding in the hot tub while watching the sun set, turning the sky into a stunning display of orange, red, and then star-filled black. It’s the perfect stargazing spot after a day of exploring.

Must See
Just a short drive from Hahei Beach, one of New Zealand’s favorite holiday spots, we signed up for a snorkelling tour with Cathedral Cove Dive and Snorkel Hahei. The experience took us to the world-famous Cathedral Cove Beach, where we jumped into the marine reserve to explore the vibrant sea life. The pink sandy beach and crystal-clear waters are ideal for a day spent swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the views with friends and family.
We also recommend taking the Te Pare Point walk, a beautiful coastal trail near Hahei that rewards you with panoramic views of the coastline and nearby islands. It’s a relatively easy walk, making it perfect for families, and a great way to soak up the stunning natural beauty of the area.
Another must-do while staying in Hahei is a trip to Hot Water Beach. Head there at low tide, dig yourself a hole in the sand, and sit back in your own natural hot spring spa! The warm, geothermal water bubbling up through the sand creates the perfect relaxation spot. Alternatively, if you’re feeling adventurous, Hot Water Beach is also a fantastic place to catch some waves, making it a popular surfing destination.
Food
After a day of adventures, treat yourself to a meal at The Pour House in Hahei. This relaxed, cozy spot offers craft beers brewed on-site and delicious meals using local ingredients. It’s the perfect place to unwind with family or friends while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Another great dining option is The Hive Purangi, where you can enjoy pizzas fresh from their busy oven or some delicious café-style dishes. With lawn games to keep the kids entertained and plenty of space to relax, it’s a favorite stop for casual dining in the area.

Hahei Heights delivers the perfect balance of luxury and relaxation, with all the charm of a classic Kiwi holiday. Whether you’re unwinding in the jacuzzi, playing outdoor games, exploring the coastline on the Te Pare Point walk, or digging your own natural spa at Hot Water Beach, every moment feels special. We highly recommend this getaway, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!
